I set out to teach my kid (and myself) the art of cooking in hopes of churning, burning and learning new recipes along the way.

I figured that I should thank you since we use your website so much. My kids look at the pictures and pick what is for dinner. My daughters holds the iphone and reads me the ingredients to buy when we are at the market. All the recepies we have made so far have been great. Thanks for helping me decide what the heck to make for dinner!

i'm so glad i found your blog! i'd never even turned on our ovens (for absolutely no good reason, we got two) before i had kids, and only started cooking when i realized i wanted them to have homemade purees with less water and more content/flavor. i halved this recipe, and to that added about 3/4 bag of trader joe's salad spinach i had left in the fridge (chopped up super-fine in the cuisanart). it was delicious - my kids (15 m.o. twins) gobbled it up, and we adults thought the sauce was deeeelicious. i will be back often, and can't wait to try cooking with my boys when they're a little bit older. your cooking-as-cure-for-pickiness theory makes so much sense, and it looks like so much fun!
